A Sustainable City In Charlotte County
A sustainable city is being built right here in south Charlotte County. That's right you heard me correctly, a completely sustainable city. Complete with parks, restaurants, schools and more.
In their own words "Babcock Ranch is an eco-centric new town embedded in nature and powered by the sun, innovation and the great outdoors." The entire city will be completely powered by solar and natural gas, it will have the largest solar farm ever constructed. According to Babcock Ranch "if you stacked the solar panels side by side it would stretch from Babcock to Chicago". The city will be the first state approved fully autonomous vehicle operation.
